This policy describes the Novel47 website and its reading, writing, account, and community features. The Novel47 team handles questions and requests through our contact form. External websites and services have their own privacy policies.
Information you provide
When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and password. Passwords are stored as hashes. Your profile may include an author name, avatar, banner, biography, and donation links. We also store publications, comments, reviews, chat messages, follows, bookmarks, ratings, reading lists, reading progress, and activity used for levels or badges. Contact requests contain your name, reply email, topic, and message.
Technical information and local storage
We record information about visits, including page paths, timestamps, IP addresses, browser user agents, device categories, and account identifiers when signed in. Browser storage keeps your session, reading settings, saved position, and interface preferences. Offline reading can store downloaded chapters on your device. How we use information
We use information to provide accounts and reading tools, save progress, publish content, deliver notifications, moderate the community, prevent abuse, measure site activity, and respond to support requests. A contact form submission also creates an abuse-prevention identifier derived from the requesting IP address. We do not publish your account email or contact messages on your profile.
Public content and service providers
Your username, public profile, publications, comments, reviews, chat messages, and public reading lists can be viewed by others. Do not include private information in public posts. Hosting, database, and image delivery providers process information needed to run the service; uploaded images use Cloudinary. Donation links and advertisements may take you to services with separate policies. Data may be processed in countries different from your own.
Google advertising and your choices
If Google advertising is enabled, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies based on your previous visits to this website and other websites. Google advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize advertisements across sites. Other ad partners may also place or read cookies, use web beacons, or process IP addresses when serving ads.

Country-level analytics
Where supported by our hosting platform, we record the approximate country of a connection for traffic statistics and show administrators a signed-in account’s most recently detected country. This is not a precise location or a statement of nationality. Country data may be unavailable or affected by VPNs. It is not shown on public profiles.
Retention, security, and your requests
We retain information for the purposes described above, including running accounts, handling requests, and protecting the service. Retention depends on the type of record and operational or legal needs. To request access, correction, deletion, or other rights available where you live, contact the Novel47 team and select Privacy or data request. We may need to verify ownership before changing account data. Clearing browser storage does not delete server records, and copies may remain in backups or where retention is necessary. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Children and policy changes
Novel47 is intended for people aged 13 or older, or the higher minimum age required where they live. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us. We may update this policy as the service changes; the revision date appears on this page.
