Find your next story
Read light novels and web novels, follow new chapters, and keep a personal library.
How do catalogue filters work?
Search by title, alternative title, or author. Combine status, language, minimum chapter count and A–Z filters. Click a genre once to include it, again to exclude it, and again to clear it. All included genres must match. Switch between compact covers and a list with summaries. Your filter URL can be shared. Surprise me chooses a story from the current results.
What can I read on Novel47?
Browse the Novels catalogue to explore published stories by genre, status, and language. Home highlights newly added novels and latest chapters. Open a novel for its description, genuine reader rating, author, and chapter list.
How do bookmarks and reading progress work?
Sign in and bookmark a novel from its detail page to keep it in your library. Reading progress is saved as you move through a chapter. Continue Reading appears below the first home shelf and on your own profile. Use it to return to an unfinished chapter.
How do I rate a novel?
Sign in, open a novel, and choose its rating action. Give an honest 1–5 rating. You can update or remove your own rating. The displayed average comes from reader ratings; titles and reviews are not a guarantee of quality.
Publish a novel and chapters
Prepare your story, add the details readers need, and submit it for moderation.
How do I create a novel?
You can add up to ten genuine alternative or original-language titles to help readers find your work. Sign in, open Publish / Add New Novel, and enter a title, subtitle, and description. The publisher name starts with your username and can be edited. Add a cover and optional banner, choose genres, tags, language, age rating, and publication status. Confirm you own the work or have permission, then create the novel. Drafts stay private. A submitted novel becomes public after admin approval.
How do I add a chapter?
Open My Novels on your profile and choose Add Chapter. Select your novel, enter the chapter title, optional subtitle and cover, and write the original content. A chapter needs at least 500 words. A suggested length is 1,500–4,000 words; choose the length your scene needs. Save a device draft while working. Submit when ready; the confirmation tells you that the chapter is waiting for review.
How do translations, imports, and artwork work?
The writing studio includes language tabs. Write the original, switch to another language, and add a translation you are authorized to publish. Import TXT, Markdown, or images, and use the formatting controls to arrange the text. Your uploaded images picker reuses artwork already saved in your novels and chapters. Review the reader preview before submitting. Only use text and artwork you own or have permission to use.
When does my submission go live?
Administrators inspect novel details, covers, original text, and translations. The parent novel must be public before a chapter is approved. Approval publishes the item, notifies its author, and refreshes public discovery and the sitemap. A sitemap entry helps discovery but does not guarantee Google indexing or search placement.
Can I export my writing?
Use Export TXT for the selected language or Print / Save as PDF in the writing studio. Choose Save as PDF in the browser print dialog. Keep your own backups: device drafts depend on the browser and do not replace a published or server-saved chapter.
Support an author
Add optional external donation links and let readers choose how to support your work.
How do I add donation links?
Open your own profile, choose Settings, then Donations. Add your PayPal, Ko-fi, or Patreon page and save. Use the full correct HTTPS address for your own page. Check the saved link before sharing it. Readers can follow the links shown with your work. Donations take place on the external provider; Novel47 does not process those payments.
Are donations required to read?
External support links are optional. Do not promise benefits you cannot provide, and explain any membership offer on its own service. Each provider has its own fees, policies, and payment flow.
Join the conversation
Discuss books, mention people, and help keep the lounge welcoming.
How do mentions and story links work?
Sign in and open Community. Type @ to see reader suggestions, or # to search novels and chapters. Select a suggestion to insert a link. Messages can contain up to 500 characters. Avoid unmarked spoilers and do not share private information.
How do I report a problem?
Use Report under a comment section or the flag beside a chat message. Identify the account, location, and reason clearly. Your report enters the admin moderation queue. Administrators can inspect the reported page and resolve or ignore the report. A resolved report sends a confirmation notification to the reporter. For copyright or account issues, use Contact.
How do guild invitations work?
A guild leader can invite a reader by username. The reader receives a notification with Accept and Decline buttons. Invitations expire after seven days, and a reader must leave an existing guild before accepting another. Leaders can cancel pending invitations, remove members, update the guild settings, and transfer leadership to a current member.
Can I join more than one guild?
You can belong to one guild at a time. Leave your current guild before joining or creating another. You can create one existing guild and must reach level 5 to create it. A guild leader must transfer leadership or disband before leaving. Each guild can set its own level and XP requirements.
Reader and author titles
Earn milestones through what you read and publish, with clear progress on your profile.
How are reader titles earned?
Complete different chapters by reaching the end. A chapter counts once toward your completion milestones, even if you reread it. The journey includes First Page, Chapter Explorer, Story Seeker, Library Regular, Dedicated Reader, World Wanderer, Keeper of Stories, and Reading Legend. Completion tracking starts with this feature; older visits may not be counted.
How are author titles earned?
Approved novels and approved chapters count toward author milestones. Drafts, pending submissions, and rejected work do not count. Chapter milestones, published word totals, completed novels, and a growing follower audience unlock different titles. Your profile shows the exact requirement and progress for each title. XP levels are a separate progression system.
